Richard HawkRichard Hawk
Richard is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars. He has trained thousands of supervisors and managers at companies such as Exxon/Mobil, PPL, PSEG, Shell, Nestle Purina and NcNeil Consumer Healthcare as well as Colorado Safety Association, American Society of Safety Engineers, and the Society of Human Resource Management. Before setting out on his own, Richard Hawk received 10 years of practical experience as a safety engineer and management trainer in the Nuclear Power industry.


Gary HigbeeGary A. Higbee, CSP, MBA
Gary A. Higbee worked for more than 30 years for John Deere & Company where he held assignments in safety, environmental, production and engineering. He was also the Corporate Safety Director for Maytag and Manager of Health, Safety & Environmental for the Budd Company Stamping and Frame Division. Gary is a Certified Safety Professional and has an MBA from the University of Iowa. Currently, he is working towards a Ph.D. in Industrial Technology at Iowa State University



Jonathan KlaneJonathan Klane, M.S.Ed., CIH, CHMM, CET
Jonathan is the owner and founder of Klane’s Education Information Training Hub. He has over 20 years of experience in occupational and environmental health and safety providing training and education and other consulting services to business, industry, government and higher education. He formerly taught full-time in a college-level Occupational Health and Safety degree program for three years, and is still an adjunct college faculty member at Thomas College in their Graduate/CED Program and frequent guest speaker on training adults and many other subjects.


Michael TopfMichael D. Topf, MA
Michael D. Topf is the Founder, President and CEO of Topf Initiatives.  Michael has extensive experience in consulting as well as designing and conducting training courses in Executive Leadership, Management & Line Employee Development and other areas of Organizational Effectiveness.  Michael has a BS in Biology and Chemistry, as well as an MA in Applied Psychology and an MA in Theology. He was an Instructor in the Graduate Program in Health and Safety Administration at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and has published many articles in safety and health publications. He has been a speaker and presenter at numerous corporate, and national and local specialty conferences over the past 25 years, including conferences of the American Society of Safety Engineers and National Safety Council.  He has presented on organizational and personal effectiveness, safety, health and environmental culture change and attitudinal and behavioral approaches to preventing errors and improving safety, health and environmental performance.


Barry WeissmanBarry R. Weissman, REM, CSP, CHMM, CHS-V, CIPS
Barry has been involved in environmental health, safety, emergency management and business continuity planning for over 25 years. Currently, he is the Manager: Environment, Health & Safety for a bio-chemical research company in New Jersey. Barry has worked in many and varied industries such as, consulting, pharmaceuticals, plastics, lubricants and consumer products. He has worked with solvents, inks, paints, textiles, plastics, oils, lubricants, building materials, precious metals, paper and cosmetics. A Registered Environmental Manger (REM), a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Barry is also Certified in Homeland Security, Advanced Level V and Certified Infrastructure Preparedness Specialist (CIPS). Barry holds Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture, a Masters in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a graduate of the Master Gardener Program with Rutgers Cooperative Extension Service. He is an active member with the American Society of Safety Engineers, New Jersey Chapter, the New Jersey Section of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, both the New Jersey Chapter and the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals and the National Fire Protection Association. Barry is also a SafetyXChange advisor and host of SafetyXChange's first ever webinar. He is also their 2008 Saxcies Award Winner as Contributor of the Year.


Barry WeissmanDr. Kenneth S. Weinberg
Kenneth S. Weinberg, MSc, PhD, has extensive experience in healthcare safety, including serving as safety director for more than 10 years at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is the author of numerous abstracts, articles and books, and is a regular presenter at health and safety conferences across North America.
